Norway 2019 -2020
In the fall of 2019, I took a long dreamed of voyage up and down the Norwegian coast to see the fjords. The infinite variations of the sharp mountains rising from the sea were inspiring and challenging to paint without making a postcard. The clear northern light changed the water and the land moment by moment. It was cold, liquid mercury against the classic shapes of mountains, hiding trolls and shepherds.
